Free access to information
is dealt within the Act No. 211/2000 Coll. on Free Access to Information and Amendments of Some Acts (The Freedom of Information Act).
In accordance with the Act No. 211/2000 Coll. on Free Access to Information and Amendments of Some Acts (The Freedom of Information Act), every Applicant may ask the Transport Authority for information unless law prohibits disclosure of concerned information.

The Information Request shall contain the following information
– that the request is addressed to the Transport Authority
– name, surname and/or business name of the Applicant
– temporary residence or registered seat of the Applicant
– what information is requested
– the disclosure way suggested by the Applicant (in hard copy or via e-mail)

Handling the Information Requests
If The Transport Authority has the information , it shall dispose the information within eight working days from the day of the request submission.
If the Transport Authority does not have the information required by the Applicant, but it is aware of where the given information may be obtained, the Transport Authority shall within five days after the request submission transfer the request to that Obligee.
If the Transport Authority does not have the information required by the Applicant, and is not aware of where the concerned information may be obtained, the Transport Authority shall issue a resolution rejecting to disclose the requested information. The Transport Authority shall issue a resolution rejecting to disclose the requested information also in the case, when it is according to legal obligations not possible to disclose the information requested.
An Applicant may file an appeal against the resolution of the Transport Authority rejecting to disclose requested information (or its part) within 15 days after the delivery of such a resolution.
